How To Be a Friend
By Laurie Krasny and Marc Brown
Life always seems a little brighter with friends in it, and
making friends is an important part of growing up. In this story there are wise
dinosaurs that give practical advice on how to make friends. There are several
different scenes that portray the idea of friendship such as; friends on the computer,
in front of the T.V, playing sports, and other games. The characters go on to
say that anyone can be a friend, and the pictures show friends of all different
ages, races, gender and disabilities. This book will enhance a child’s moral
intelligence by showing that no matter how different a person is from you, they
can be your friend. It teaches children to not pass judgment and that everyone
is deserving of friendship.
